Edible

Grimsby

With a theme of ‘grow, cook, share’ our special ingredient of ‘good times’ is brought to this new initiative focussing on food and community. Edible Grimsby brings community groups together to enjoy food that they’ve both grown and cooked, all culminating in a lovely festival (where the sharing happens).

Delivered in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts and wide-ranging community groups, creative evenEdible Grimsby supports and promotes community connection, fun, learning and wellbeing.

Two successful (and joyful) iterations so far have taken place in St James’ Square, Grimsby and the beautiful Grant Thorold Park in the heart of the ‘East Marsh’.

This year Edible returns to St James’ Square on 5 October with a vibrant programme alongside food tastings, stalls and more.

Edible Grimsby 2024

On Saturday, October 5th, St James Square in Grimsby will come alive with the vibrant Edible Grimsby event, a free family fun day that celebrates the joys of growing, cooking, and sharing food.

Running from 11 am until 4 pm, this community event promises a delightful blend of live performances, music, free food tastings, food and drink stalls, and an array of creative activities.

Funded by Create NEL and organised by The Culture House in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts, Green Futures, Original Emporium Makers Market and The Canopy Community Kitchen, Edible Grimsby aims to foster a deeper connection between residents and their community through the universal language of food.
