Picnic In The Park 2025

We’re thrilled to be rolling out another brilliant summer programme this August, starting Sunday 3 August (right after Everybody Loves the Sunshine). Come along, bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy some relaxed time with family and friends. As always, we will have an ice cream van and the cafe at People’s Park will be serving drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Over the 5 Sundays in August, expect a vibrant mix of amazing local talent, visiting bands, live sounds and fun for all ages. There will also be local heritage activities centred around People’s Park, as part of our partnership project with Unseen Arts (highlighting local “Landmarks and Legends”) and on most dates, (except 3rd) activities courtesy of The Nature Lab and outdoor story-telling adventures.

In addition during the Picnics, children will have chance to take part in activities to earn a ‘Discover Arts Award’ through children’s arts organisation Birdhouse.
