We are back with Episode 2 of the newly named ‘In the House’, our video podcast. We capture conversations that we are having anyway and thinking, “wow wouldn’t this have been a great conversation to have people listen in on”.

This episode we invited Jose Davis – Grimsby Town Centre Ambassador Grimsby’s 2025 Group and Our Future about here role and why arts and culture are important for town centres.
Great timing as Jose mentions the shift she noticed with a Christmas event five years ago as we welcome the opening of Grimsby’s Christmas village this weekend in Riverhead Square – things are definitely moving on for the better!

This episode was filmed back in October along with our first episode, so some of the information in this may be slightly out of date with new and exciting announcements from Jose’s side. Read below the video about Jose and her work.

Jose Davies is the Town Centre Ambassador for the 2025 Group and Our Future, proudly championing the heart of our town. Her role is all about celebrating the positive: connecting local people, supporting home-grown projects, and shining a light on everything that makes our town centre a vibrant, welcoming place to be.

Christmas is always a special time for town centre events, and this year is no exception. We’re especially excited for the launch of the brand-new Christmas Village, opening this weekend in Riverhead Square.

Organised by the talented team behind the Great Grub Fest, this festive addition promises to be magical — bringing together sparkle, community spirit and plenty of reasons to visit, explore and enjoy our town centre throughout the season.
